Scalable and quantitative SERS devices(Experimental/Simulative)
Position description
The call is for 1 Post-doc who will work in the field of nano-fabrication within a nanotechnology environment. In particular, the successful candidate will work in the field of 'Scalable and quantitative SERS devices'. The successful candidate, after a propaedeutical period spent at CNITECH, Ningbo (China), will move to theItalian Institute of Technology (Italy) for completing his/her research activity.
Requirements for applicants
Applicants must have a PhD in Physics, Nanotechnology or similar discipline. He/she must have at least 2/3 years work experience in nano-fabrication possibly within a clean room facility. Any experience in using commercial software such as CST or Comsol will be positively considered.
The successful applicant will interact with international staff therefore he/she must be able to communicate in English.
Brief Introduction
The Ningbo Institute of Industrial Technology (CNITECH) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), was officially co-founded in 2004 by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Zhejiang provincial government and the Ningbo municipal government. As the first state-owned research and development institute in Zhejiang province, CNITECH has dedicated itself to strengthening cooperation with industries and research organizations in new materials, advanced manufacturing and new energy, and to integrating research and technology with high-tech industrialization. The latest built institute within CNITECH is the still under construction Cixi Institute of Biomedical Engineering which will be devoted to the development of material technology and engineering in medical filed.
The successful candidate will work in a newly established interdisciplinary group, within the Ningbo/Cixi Institute of Biomedical Engineering - CAS and, after an introductory period, will move to the Italian Institute of Technology where he/she will work at the local nanofabrication facility.
