读者 Dean 提出另外一个问题。 他阅报时看到
"No sooner had Tina and Tim said 'I do' than the groom took his happy bride to a part of town she had never seen before."，
想问可不可以改写成
"No sooner Tina and Tim had said 'I do' than the groom took his happy bride to a part of town that/in which she had never seen before."。
No sooner 放在句子的前面是一个倒装句型，顺序的说法应该是 "Tina and Tim had no sooner said ... "。现在倒换了过来，动词也跟着要放在不同的地方，所以才有 "No sooner had Tina and Tim said ..." 的倒装字序。
句子的第二部分 "the groom took his happy bride to a part of town she had never seen before"， town 和 she 中间好像缺了一个关系代名词，Dean 提出的疑问很有道理，但which 或者 that 作为关系代名词时常常会被省略，这句子因此是可以成立的。
至于是否可以代入 in which，这恐怕有点问题。因为这句子若用较直接的方法写出来应是 "she had never seen that part of the town before"。句子里面并没有 in 这个字，因为 see 是及物动词，加上宾语时不需加上前置词，即是 "she had seen in that part of the town" 并不符合文法，所以 "the groom took his happy bride to a part of town in which she had never seen before" 并不正确。
