Faculty Positions in Shanghai Institute for Advanced Immunochemical Studies (SIAIS), ShanghaiTech University
Shanghai Institute for Advanced Immunochemical Studies (SIAIS) is a newly established research institution aiming to become the “Bell laboratories in antibody research”. Our research interests are to elucidate the most fundamental problems in life science. SIAIS has nine key laboratories led by world renowned scientists including the pioneer and founder of immunochemistry, Dr. Richard Lerner and the Nobel laureates, Dr. Roger Kornberg and Dr. James Rothman. The nine key laboratories are antibody design, ADC chemistry, phenotypic screening, structure biochemistry, cell biology, stem cell biology, antibody engineering, antibody structure and biological engineering, which cover all the capabilities that one needs to go from discovery of an important antibody through all the steps necessary to turn it into a drug. Each key laboratory has multiple openings at various levels as Co-PI / Research Professors / Research Associate Professors / Research Assistant Professors / Technicians / post-docs. We are looking for highly motivated individuals with excellent education backgrounds and proven track-records in biotechnology, bioengineering, and biomedicine areas. SIAIS encourages and welcomes talented young scientists to join and establish independent research laboratories as Junior PIs. Several positions are now open, focused on but not limited to the following areas:
1. Advanced bio-imaging
2. Synthetic biology
3. Integrative and system biology
SIAIS offers excellent initiation research package (covering 3 years), state-of-the-art research facility, and competitive compensation package to qualified candidates.
Research Initiation Package: SIAIS will provide a highly competitive initiation package for three consecutive years including capital equipment, research operation grants, and supporting staffs of 2 research associates (technicians) and 1 post-doctoral fellow.
